Character Analysis

Reflection
 I.A.L.T relate to the characters in the in the text and to understand their purpose. I achieved my success criteria by talking about the characters behaviours, using examples from the book and I showed how Stuart little relates to other characters. The hardest part of this activity was relating the character traits to my life.

Tapa Cloth

Reflection
I was learning about the significance of Tapa Cloth. I used a shell and flower design. I used repeated patterns witch was, one third brown dye, one third black vivid and one third brown paper. I learnt that they used bamboo to strip the mulberry tree. Next time I could try doing 3D. I enjoyed this art.

Pet Power.

Reflection I was learning to plan, write and present a persuasive speech. I think I achieved my success criteria by having a loud and clear voice and using persuasive language. Next time I could learn my speech better and say it more confidently. I enjoyed getting the speech finals and present it in assembly.

Telling the Time

 Reflection
 I.A.L.T tell the time. It was hard to understand Quarter to.  It was easy to do the digital time. Next time I want to do some thing harder like 24 hour time.

Summarising Information in a text.

Reflection I was learning to summarise information in a text. The most tricky bit was finding five keywords and writing the meaning. The easiest bit was finding the facts.

Hockey skills

Reflection

I was learning to tackle in hockey. This was hard to do because I have never played hokey but I got the hang of it. It was easy to tackle after a little bit.

The Cindy limpics comprehension questions

Reflection
 W.A.L.T answer a range  of comprehension questions. I found naming feelings that you have when you have a broken bone hard because I've never broken a bone. It was easy to skim and scan.

Addition and subtraction.

Reflection I was learning to choose the most efficient strategy to solve addition and subtraction problems. In this activity I had to choose critically from a range of strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. I found this tricky because I don’t really understand equal adjustments. My next steps are to practice equal adjustments.

Compering a fractured and traditional fairy tale.

Reflection I was learning to compare a traditional and fractured fairy tale. The most challenging part of this was to think what was the same in both stories. I want to do my own fairy tale. I learnt how fairy tales can be changed.

A Moment In Time

Reflection I am learning to use strategies to add more detail to my writing. It was hard to think of interesting words. It was easy to think of the title. Next time I will try to finish my work on time. I enjoyed this I want to do this again.

Rio Olympic Comprehension questions.

Reflection it was hard to look for the answers Next time I need to go faster and hand my work in time.

Measurement

Reflection I found it easy because I wrote it all down while I was doing it. I found how tall I was in centimetres because it was in cemtimetres.

Matariki acrostic poem.

\ Reflection It was hard to think of the sentences for each letter. It was easy to make sentences make sentence. I want to do this again.

Reflection
I was learning to research information and summarise main ides. The hardest part was finding information because there are so many websites. It was easy to find pictures because i am good at finding good pictures. Next time I want to try some thing harder. I can do the learning intention.

Inquiry Launch

Reflection I was learning to write a recount using paragraphs. I was able to write a new idea for each paragraph. I need to keep working on my paragraphs.

Reflection the most hardest bit was task three.The most easiest bit was task one.

Reflection I was learning to summarise information in a non-fiction text. I found making up my questions tricky. Next I have to work on reading my book more carefully.

I was learning to design a visually attractive and clear representation of my Pepeha that reflects my learning pathway.  I am most proud of the drawing of my mountain because the koru go up the mountain in a path.

Reflection I am learning to use my number knowledge to solve addition problems. I found it easy to add the numbers up. Next time L well go faster.
